Celebrating Sustainable Businesses in Africa

In recognition of businesses that have taken the step towards B Corp certification, B Corps around the world run a collective campaign during the month of March to raise awareness and demonstrate the benefits of the association. This year, we’re opening the doors to the B Corp community. Using multiple channels, we’re inviting people to step behind the scenes and see that the B logo isn’t just for show. Through a series of multimedia campaigns in partnership with our members, we seek to demonstrate what it means to be a B Corp. The campaign steered by B Lab Africa culminated in a B Corp Breakfast, bringing together different stakeholders who identify with the B Corp community across Africa. The session featured a series of panel discussions and keynote speeches around building sustainable businesses in Africa.

Africa’s success is all of our success. Together, we have the potential to create more sustainable businesses with the same values as communities, investors, customers and partners like you. We must transform our economic and financial systems to power the shift to sustainability. That is why we should all choose B Corp.

Ngwing Kimani, Executive Director, B Lab Africa

Becoming a B Corp has helped us shift people towards better business practices, which contribute to better living for all our stakeholders.
