We are thrilled to announce that BCP has successfully completed its third B Corp Recertification audit, achieving an impressive new score of 162.2, a significant increase from our 2021 score of 154.8! This milestone is a testament to our unwavering dedication to balancing profit with purpose.
BCP’s approach revolves around delivering outstanding climate, community, and biodiversity excellence. This commitment is rigorously verified through our annual VCS audits and CCB Triple Gold audits conducted every five years, ensuring that our projects provide high-quality, verified carbon offsets that generate exceptional co-benefits for the environment and society.
The B Corp Certification process delves deeply into an organization’s practices, setting high standards for social sustainability, environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. To earn certification, companies must achieve a minimum score of 80, but our score of 162.2 underscores our priority in these areas.
Globally, over 9,400 companies have been verified as B Corps, including well-known names like Ben & Jerry’s (Score: 96), Natura & Co (Score: 101), Danone (Score: 103.3), and Patagonia (Score: 166).
With our new score, BCP now stands as the second-highest scoring B Corp in Africa, just behind ECO2LIBRIUM (Score: 168.3). When looking at global scores between 2022 and 2024, BCP ranks in the top 20 of all B Corps worldwide!
As we move forward, we are committed to continually improving our score by aligning our business decisions, policies, and processes with B Corp Best Practices. By doing so, we aim to support the B Corp movement and contribute to the transformation of our economic society, addressing the most pressing challenges of our time.
