About the role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team on a
commission-only basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving ticket sales and
securing sponsorships for the B Lab Africa Summit 2025. This prestigious event will bring together
leaders, businesses, and stakeholders from across Africa to discuss and promote sustainable
business practices and the B Corp movement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Outreach: Identify and reach out to potential ticket buyers, sponsors, and partners to
promote the B Lab Africa Summit 2025.
2. Lead Generation: Develop and execute strategies to generate leads and convert them into
sales.
3. Client Relations: Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients and sponsors,
providing them with information about the summit and addressing their needs and
inquiries.
4. Sales Reporting: Track sales activities, report on progress, and provide regular updates on
performance against targets.
5. Event Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure effective promotion of the
summit and maximize visibility.
6. Networking: Represent B Lab Africa at relevant events and networking opportunities to
promote the summit and engage with potential clients.
Qualifications:
● Experience: Proven track record in sales, preferably in event sales, sponsorship, or related
fields. Previous experience with commission-based roles is advantageous.
● Skills: Strong sales and negotiation skills, excellent communication and interpersonal
abilities, and the capability to build lasting relationships with clients.
● Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively, with a
strong drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.
● Networking: Established network within the business, corporate, or sustainability sectors in
Africa is a plus.
● Consultants Welcome: We are open to consultants with relevant experience who can
demonstrate a strong network and a proven ability to deliver results.
Compensation:
This role is commission-based, with earnings tied directly to sales performance. The commission
structure will be discussed during the interview process and will be competitive, reflecting the
significance and scope of the B Lab Africa Summit 2025.
