Job type: A 1-year part-time consultancy contract (approximately 20-25 hours a month)

Responsibilities:

• Language Consultation: Provide expert advice on Arabic language usage, grammar, and style to ensure clarity, accuracy, and cultural appropriateness in all communications.
• Translation Consultation: Review and provide feedback on English to Arabic translations to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Cultural Insights: Offer valuable insights into Arabic culture, customs, and sensitivities to inform strategic communication and marketing initiatives.
• Terminology Review: Assist in developing and maintaining a glossary of Arabic terminology to ensure consistency and accuracy in all materials.
• Proofreading and Editing: Review and edit Arabic-language content for clarity, coherence, and grammatical accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Art in Translation or Postgraduate Degree
• Language Proficiency: Native fluency in Arabic, with excellent written skills.
• Cultural Expertise: Deep understanding of Arabic culture, customs, and social norms.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, and as part of a team – with the ability to be proactive, collaborate and work well with others regardless of position, background or geographical location.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience in a consulting or advisory role
