Best For The World 2017

Three East African companies have been recognized globally as being Best For the World. The companies are listed in the ‘Best for the World 2017’ list by B Lab. They are amongst 846 businesses across 52 industries from 48 countries that make up the list of ‘2017 Best for the World honorees’.

The B Corp Best for the World list honours businesses that earned an overall score in the top 10% of all Certified B Corporations globally on the B Impact Assessment – a rigorous and comprehensive assessment of a company’s impact on its workers, community, and the environment. Honourees were recognised among micro, small, and mid-sized businesses around the globe.

The B Corp ‘Best for the World List’ represents the gold standard for high impact companies and honours those companies whose groundbreaking business models are playing a role to improve our world. The 2017 list is the sixth annual Best for the World list and the East African honourees include:

The B Lab East Africa team is excited to see East African Kenyan firms shine in the best of the world showing that business can pursue profit as well as social and environmental impact. We applaud these leads who are taking this critical step in redefining success in business in the region.
