As a business, they have been intentional in their efforts to show how businesses can be a force for good in taking action on the SDGs. Bewsys participated in a six-month accelerator program organized by the UN Global Compact Network through the SDG Academy to hasten their efforts in contributing to the SDGs. The ambition program created a community that prioritized and addressed how to take action to achieve specific targets of the sustainable development goals. Their sustainability representatives had the opportunity to work with other sustainability leaders across different organizations in different industries; that contributed massively to discussions and reshaping ideologies on their selected SDG benchmark-gender balance across all management levels.
At the end of the program, they drew a step-by-step plan to address a deeply rooted benchmark; in the fabric of society, furthering their contribution to the 2030 Agenda.
Currently, we have 45% women representation and prioritize developing gender-sensitive work policies that ensure that men and women at Bewsys have equal opportunities and pay.

It is important for businesses to understand that in order for the sustainable development goals to be achieved by 2030, they have a role to play. Businesses and business leaders ought to become a force for good and take action towards the SDGs.
