Our mission is to accelerate a shift in how business is done in Africa. To redefine business success as not just for profit but also for purpose. To encourage businesses to work for a positive impact on all stakeholders: workers, customers, community, and the environment.
Our Vision for the B Corp Movement in Africa
Our vision is for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economic system for all people and the planet.
We are building the B Corp movement to change the rules of the game. This means shifting the behavior, culture, and structural underpinnings of capitalism. We mobilize the B Corp community towards collective action to address society’s most critical challenges.
To date, our community includes 97 B Corps across Africa. Over 6000 companies in Africa measure and manage their impact using the B Impact Assessment and the SDG Action Manager.
Our global community consists of over 10,000 B Corps in 103 countries and 163 industries, over 8,000 benefit corporations, and more than 200,000 companies manage their impact using our tools.
What B Lab Africa Does
B Lab Africa supports businesses to measure and manage their impact through tools like the B Impact Assessment and SDG Action Manager, and mobilises the B Corp community to take collective action on social and environmental challenges.
