Step 1: Create a B Impact Assessment Account

The B Impact Assessment is a digital tool that helps measure, manage, and improve your business’s positive impact. This tool will be used throughout the program and will be reviewed in a dedicated section each week.

Step 2: Read and Sign the Media Consent Form

This form provides consent for the use of your images, videos, and other media content captured during the program.

Step 3: Complete the RSB Program Onboarding Survey

This survey helps us collect your contact information and understand your specific needs for the program. It also serves as a confirmation that you have read and signed the media consent form.

Step 4: Join the WhatsApp Group

This group is where you can connect with your fellow participants and receive important program updates directly from the facilitators.

Who is the RSB Programme For?

RSB is designed to meet the needs of African SMEs, from building foundational knowledge in sustainability to implementing advanced strategies that drive lasting impact. Program Content

This introductory session will provide participants with an opportunity to connect with one another and establish a collaborative environment from the outset.

Learn to measure and manage your company’s impact using the B Impact Assessment  to build a transparent, comparable impact strategy across governance, workers, community, customers, and the environment.

This module focuses on how creating a learning culture can improve workplace performance. Participants will learn about key factors like mindset, teamwork, and skill development. They will use practical tools to assess their current workplace culture and explore ways to make it stronger. Real-world examples and engaging reading materials will encourage creative thinking and help participants develop strategies to boost productivity and long-term success.

  • Learn the key principles of Sustainable Supply Chain Management and its benefits
  • Identify opportunities to integrate ethical and sustainable practices in your supply chain
  • Get actionable insights and tools to kickstart your Value Chain Framework

Learn how to effectively engage with different stakeholders to build trust and align interests with sustainable business goals. 

Provides a deep dive into the world of ESG financing. The module offers guidance on how to secure funding for sustainable practices and become investor-ready.

In-Person Workshops:
Two immersive workshops will provide hands-on training and opportunities for networking.

  • Expert-led sessions will cover foundational concepts, best practices, and real-world applications.

Online Sessions:
Four online sessions will offer flexibility and accessibility.

  • Live, interactive sessions with experts will delve into specific topics and address participant questions.

Facilitators

The sessions will be led by subject matter experts with a deep understanding of African business contexts.

The Resilient Sustainable Business (RSB) training program is accessible online. Participants have access to the learning platform using the email used during registration.

  • Weekly Modules: Each module spans one week, allowing you to focus on its content and engage with the material effectively.
  • Zoom Sessions: A live Zoom session with the module facilitator is scheduled once a week to enable interactive learning and discussions.
  • Pre-Work: Pre-work materials are uploaded to introduce the module’s topic and prepare you for the live discussion. It is crucial to complete the pre-work ahead of the session.

      • Articles and research relevant to the topic
      • Case studies
      • Quizzes 

Self-Paced Approach: Participants are encouraged to work on sections of the BIA throughout the program. The BIA is used to identify areas of gaps in the current operations and business model of an entity. It will also be what is used to create an improvement action plan for the organisation.

Completion Goal: While self-paced, it is recommended to complete each section that is aligned to the module to avoid being overwhelmed by the entire assessment at the end of the program.

Support Available: B Leaders will be available to assist with the BIA for a predetermined number of hours if you require additional guidance.

Guidance: Facilitators, B Lab Africa, and B Leaders will provide support throughout the program.

Learning Platform: All resources, including pre-work materials, walkthrough videos, and recordings of Zoom sessions, will be accessible on the platform.

The program schedule is designed to accommodate participants with full-time jobs. Off weeks are included to provide time for reviewing content, working on group projects, and engaging in discussions.
