Lead: Sustainability practice, IQbusiness
Christelle is a subject matter expert in the field of sustainability and has supported clients from various sectors in defining and implementing sustainability and Corporate Social Investment (CSI) strategies. She has extensive experience in the development of sustainable procurement practices, sustainability strategies and integrated reporting. Prior to her current role, she was employed at SABMiller (now AB InBev) where she defined and implemented sustainable development strategies for all procurement categories and developed and implemented the first human rights programme within their African supply base (12 countries).
She also worked as a strategy consultant at Accenture, where she assisted key South African organisations in developing sustainability strategies, corporate governance and stakeholder management. Building on her undergraduate Bachelors of Science degree in Food Science, Christelle completed her MBA at the University of Stellenbosch Business School. She is also a published author on integrated reporting and stakeholder management and has contributed to articles in the African Journal of Business Ethics and a university textbook. She is currently leading the sustainability consulting practices at IQbusiness, a B-Corp Certified Company.
